LWD 3-6-1 is the Australian Army’s doctrine on Employment of Engineers. It can be found by clicking the image above, or at the following link.

The aim of the publication is to describe the capabilities of engineers in order to provide an understanding of their contribution to the comprehensive range of military activities within a ‘whole-of-government’ approach to national security. It is the capstone publication for engineers as part of the Land Warfare Doctrine Operation Series.

This publication is written for new members of the Army. It provides corps non-specialists with an understanding of the capabilities of the organisation and its raise, train and sustain role. This publication is a useful reference for government and non-government agencies working with the Army.
