LWD 3-3-4 is the Australian Army’s doctrine on Employment of Armour. It can be found by clicking the image above, or at the following link.
The aim of this publication is to describe the capabilities of armour in order to provide an understanding of their contribution to the comprehensive range of military activities within a ‘whole-of-government’ approach to national security. This is the capstone publication for armour as part of the Land Warfare Doctrine Operation Series.
LWD 3-3-4 provides corps non-specialists with an understanding of the capabilities of the organisation and its raise, train and sustain role. It is a useful reference for government and non-government agencies working with the Army
This publication draws upon the philosophy and the planning and execution of operations described in Land Warfare Doctrine 3-0, Operations and guides companion doctrine on specific environmental and operational contexts as well as subordinate doctrine on techniques and procedures.
Land Doctrine Centre welcomes any feedback/contributions. Comments regarding LWD 3-3-4 can be made in the ‘join the discussion’ section at the bottom of the page.
